We hope you enjoy our new EP Staring Out into the Sea! The title track is loosely based on Jeff Buckley's untimely and highly unfortunate drowning death, including the rumors that it wasn't an accident. Spoken in the voice of someone that lost their friend, the telling lyric is "Which makes me take pause on just how hard it was you fought".
I also really like the word play in the last verse: "I’m trying to find my way, and the irony of it all, is that friends are social at the surface now, picture perfect online walls". i.e. the remaining living are at surface-level both literally (above water) and figuratively (social media trend).
